Regular Activities:
Since its inception in 2050 BS Hyolmo Social Service center has been continually organization various activities. The activities that were carried out are described below in brief.
Lhosar Lhasol program:
To mark the auspicious occasion of Hyolmo Sonam Lhosar, Hyolmo Social Service Center has been organizing Lhosar Lhaso program on the fifth day of Hyolmo Sonam Lhosar every year. In this auspicious day, all the Hyolmos would gather at Hyolmo Gonpa, the only community Gonpa of Hyolmos, and celebrate with full of fun and enjoyment there by wishing Lhosar greeting among each other.
Hyolmo Tshestu Festival:
On Tshetsu, 10th day of the first month of Tibetan calendar, Tshetsu festival is organized in order to give continuity to the Ngyingma tradition and mark the auspicious deeds and contribution of Guru Renpochhe, Lord Padmasambhawa in prevailing Buddhism. In this day all the Hyolmos would gather at Hyolmo Gonpa and observe Bhachham, the traditional mask dance of Hyolmo Lamas. Besides the Bhachham, traditional Hyolmo songs and dances are also performed and celebrated with grand fun.
Buddha Jayanti:
On the fullmoon day of Baishak, the first month of Nepali calendar, birth day and the enlightenment day of Lord Buddha is celebrated with full devotion. In this day a peace demonstration along with Mask dance would be started from the Salha Dhola Chhorten at Chabahil and ultimately ended at Hyolmo Gonpa. In this day various prayers are enchanted and also offerings are made. At the end of the day, the program would be concluded with Shyabru, traditional Hyolmo dance.
Dupa Tsheshye:
On the fullmoon day of Baishak, the first month of Nepali calendar, birth day and the enlightenment day of Lord Buddha is celebrated with full devotion. In this day a peace demonstration along with Mask dance would be started from the Salha Dhola Chhorten at Chabahil and ultimately ended at Hyolmo Gonpa. In this day various prayers are enchanted and also offerings are made. At the end of the day, the program would be concluded with Shyabru, traditional Hyolmo dance.
